Corporate Logo

The Real Bank Logo is a royal seal that encloses the “alibata” or “baybayin” representation of REAL (‘de-a’) in a harmonious overlap. The baybayin, also known as alibata, is an original Filipino alphabet and writing used by the natives prior to the arrival of the Spaniards in the 16th century.

In said alibata writing, each syllable is spelled or represented by a particular symbol forming a group of words then used for writing, reading and speaking. This was initially used by the Spaniards to introduce Christianity in the Philippines until the Spaniards language evolved and developed new sounds which altogether formed the present Filipino “ABAKADA.” The baybayin or alibata was preserved only in places where the Spaniards barely resided.

However, current studies led some scholars to the re-discovery of this original Filipino alphabet and it is now being studied in schools and is being incorporated into contemporary Filipino art.

The Real Bank Logo puts the two alibata symbols or alphabet that spells the name of the bank “REAL” (‘de-a”) pertaining to royalty and truth. It essentially conveys the Bank’s ultimate mission of providing real, royal, pro-active and distinct financial service that is “the root” of true Filipino banking service to the Filipino people.

The color red is used for the alibata symbols in the logo. It is also used as the dominant color in the new signages – the most attention-grabbing and energetic color and red instantly demands attention. It is also the color symbolizing “prosperity.”

The color yellow, on the other hand, used as the background for the logo and for the text corporate name “The Real Bank” is the color of the sun, gold, spiritually and inspiration. It is usually associated with goodness and joy as well as caution. Yellow also is a color of energy and is a symbol of friendship and warmth.

Lastly, the color blue was used to outline the seal as it is the most sedate of all colors, thereby giving balance with the use of the vibrant colors of red and yellow. It symbolizes the heavens and divinity and since it is a fairly serious color, blue is the color of choice in the business world.

The new logo and corporate colors, in essence, is symbolic of the new ideals for which the new The Real Bank stands for – “going back to the roots” of authentic Filipino culture.
